Full Spectrum Hemp Derived CBD Oil
This is derived from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant and contain CBD, BCP (BetaCaryophyllene), with other smaller quantity phytocannabinoids and terpenoids. This provides less than 0.3% THC.
The phytocannabinoids, bind to the cannabinoid receptors, G-protein receptors, and the 5-HT receptor, among others in the presynaptic neuron. Depending on the phytocannabinoid, a specific receptor binding and mechanism of action will result. Phytocannabinioids can have anti-inflammatory, anti-depressive, neuroprotective, antioxidant and anxiolytic properties.
Supplementing with hemp derived CBD oil can result in a state of energetic, relaxation and calmness. Research has shown a significant increase in frequency of alpha brain waves and a significant decrease in frequency of beta waves. As well as an increased power and amplitude of theta and alpha waves activities with hemp derived CBD oil.
Myrcene
Myrcene is an abundant monoterpene which occurs as a major constituent in many plant species, including hops and cannabis. The main biological properties of myrcene are anxiolytic, antioxidant, anti-aging, sedative, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic.
Myrcene may potentiate the properties of cannabinoids by lowering resistance across the blood brain barrier and improving permeability, leading to an increase in transportation of cannabinoids into the brain. Myrcene may act in synergy with cannabinoids, to enhance activity and increase its potential benefits.
Linalool
Linalool is an aromatic monoterpene from lavender, with many bioactive properties including neuroprotective, anxiolytic, antioxidant, anti-depressant, and anti-stress. Linalool has been shown to help reduce anxiety and provide relief of stress. Linalool works by binding to the GABA receptor, NDMA receptor, and the serotonin receptors 5-HT and SERT, inducing activation of these neuro mood enhancing pathways.
Beta-Caryophyllene
BCP is found in many plants worldwide. BCP is a natural bicyclic sesquiterpene phytocannabinoid with strong affinity to cannabinoid receptor type 2 (CB2). The selective activation of CB2, functions as an analgesic, an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immunomodulatory.
D-Limonene
D-limonene is a monocyclic monoterpene abundant in citrus fruits. D-limonene has therapeutic properties including antioxidant, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, as well as have sedative effects. D-limonene has been shown to decrease alpha and beta brain waves and increase theta wave power, inducing a sedative effect. Theta waves are associated meditation and elevating to the meditative state. D-limonene may also increase REM or deep sleep time.
Melatonin
Melatonin is a hormone produced in the pineal gland, in response to a signal received from suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) of the hypothalamus, in response to darkness via a complex autonomic circuitry. The release of melatonin therefore regulates the body’s circadian rhythm or 24-hour sleep wake cycle. The SCN-activated, light-inhibited production of melatonin conveys the message of darkness to the clock and induces night-state physiological functions, for example, sleep/wake blood pressure and metabolism.
Melatonin has been shown to improve sleeping disorders, improve restorative sleep quality, improve duration of REM sleep, and provide protection against neurodegeneration to promote healthy mental ageing.
